KrakowSecrets Terms and Conditions

1. General provisions

These Terms and Conditions set out the rules for using the KrakowSecrets website, available at krakowsecrets.pl (hereinafter: the “Website”).

The service provider and owner of the Website is EscapeCity Sp. z o.o., with its registered office in Krakow at ul. Kościuszki 74/13, 30-114 Krakow, NIP: 9442219177, KRS: 0000357047, hereinafter: the “Service Provider”. Use of the Website constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

2. Definitions

• User — a person using the Website.
• Content — articles, guides, rankings, routes, quizzes, photographs and other materials published on the Website.
• Newsletter — recurring information sent by e-mail to persons who have consented to receive it.
• Partner — an entity cooperating with the Service Provider in relation to exposure or sponsored content.
• Sponsored content — Content funded by a Partner and labelled as such on the Website.

3. Scope of electronically provided services

The Service Provider provides the following services to the User free of charge:

• access to Content published on the Website,
• use of the search function and topic-based navigation,
• participation in city quizzes,
• subscription to the Newsletter,
• contact via the forms provided.

4. Technical requirements

Use of the Website requires a device with internet access and an up-to-date browser supporting JavaScript and cookies. The Service Provider shall not be liable for problems resulting from the User’s failure to meet these requirements.

5. Rules for using the Website

The User undertakes to use the Website in accordance with the law and accepted standards of conduct. The following are prohibited:

• providing unlawful content,
• interfering with the operation of the Website or its security measures,
• automatically downloading data in a manner that places a burden on the infrastructure without the Service Provider’s consent.

6. Newsletter

Subscription to the Newsletter is voluntary and requires the provision of an e-mail address and consent. The User may unsubscribe from the Newsletter at any time by using the link in the message or contacting the Service Provider. The rules governing data processing are described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Partners and sponsored content

Some Content is created in cooperation with Partners. The Service Provider applies transparent rules for labelling such materials:

Partner advertising may be presented on the Website and in the EscapeCity mobile app, a brand associated with the Service Provider. Details of the partnership are described on the partnership rules page.

8. Copyright

Content on the Website is protected by copyright and is owned by the Service Provider or used under the relevant licences. Copying, distributing or using Content for commercial purposes without the Service Provider’s consent is prohibited. Non-commercial personal use is permitted within the limits of the law.

9. Liability

The Service Provider takes reasonable care to ensure that the Content is up to date and reliable, but it is provided for information purposes. Before visiting, Users are advised to confirm opening hours, prices and availability directly with the relevant venue. The Website may contain links to external websites, for whose content the Service Provider is not responsible.

10. Complaints

Complaints concerning the operation of the Website may be submitted to hello@krakowsecrets.pl. We will consider a complaint within 14 days of receipt. Consumers have the right to use out-of-court dispute resolution procedures, including via the European Commission’s ODR platform.

11. Personal data

The rules governing the processing of personal data, including the purposes, legal bases and User rights, are described in the Privacy and Cookies Policy.

12. Final provisions

The Service Provider may amend these Terms and Conditions for valid reasons (changes in the law, the scope of services or tools). The current version shall apply from the moment it is published on this page, with the date indicated at the top of the document. Matters not regulated herein shall be governed by Polish law, in particular the Civil Code and the Act on Providing Services by Electronic Means.
